Notes |
We used to sing this at Covedale Elementary school in the
early 80s. "Buddies" was the name for generic or off-brand tennis
shoes (we called tennis shoes sneakers, by the way). I have very recently
discovered that in other regions, people sung about "Bobos" instead of
buddies. The bobos version is more complete than the buddies version that I
remember. |

Buddies
They make your feet feel fine
Buddies
They cost a dollar ninety-nine

- Bobos variant (unknown)*
-
Bobos, they make your feet feel fine
Bobos, they cost a nickel and a dime
Bobos, they're made by hobos
So get your bobos at Lobo's today
*I lifted this from the Child(ish)
Ballads page.
